Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Client Services Operations Manager, you will be supporting physicians and potentially patients as they order the NavDx blood test through a physician portal integrated within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Duties include:
- Serving as the first point of contact with questions regarding filling out the digital Test Requisition Form and answering questions on general portal usage like logging in and repeat orders
- Greeting patients and physicians professionally during inbound/outbound calls
- Accurately describing our policies and procedures to patients and clients
- Answering telephone and e-mail inquiries in a timely manner
- Follow privacy guidelines as dictated by state and federal law (HIPAA) and adhering to company policies
- Deferring patient queries to your manager if you are unable to answer them
- Organize and add detailed information to the personal calendar of management and other members of staff
- Responsible for supporting LIMS (after training) to – provision new physicians’ accounts, troubleshoot and resolve end users’ issues, documenting unexpected software behavior (ie bugs) for logging into LIMS support ticketing system
- Monitoring mobile phlebotomy orders and liaising with peers to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner
- Approach problems systematically with particular attention to detail; general data entry in Google sheets and LIMS as described in standard protocols
- Continuing education regarding best practices in database organization and processes improvement
Previous Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required
- General knowledge of medical terminology and experience working in doctors office(s) preferred
- Exceptional knowledge of office computer systems and software including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.) required.
- Experience working in data entry on enterprise platforms (ie LIS, EHR, CRM) and/or LIMS preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills while interacting with clients and end users
- Ability to work effectively and independently to maintain data integrity and update files accurately is essential
- Experience maintaining a professional level of privacy in accordance with HIPAA or other relevant regulations
